Friday February 19th 2010, Southeast Regional Barista Competition
Barista and General Manager Matthew Chavis entered into the Southeast Regional Barista Competition. Even though he did not make it to the Finals, he gave a phenomenal performance to the judges and audience. Competitors have 15 minutes to make 3 drinks for 4 judges, thats 12 drinks in total. One drink must be an espresso, a second drink must be a cappuccino and the third drink is the competitors "Signature Drink". They can be presented in any order. Matthew's signature drink was a take on a Machiato that included cloves and orange zest. Click on the links below to view the video of the performance.

Friday February 4th 2010, Taste of Inman
Barista and General Manager Matthew Chavis set up a booth at The Taste of Inman event at Inman Middle School. We donated and served Pumpkin Chocolate Chip Bread, Espresso Chocolate Brownies, and our Highland Blend drip coffee in both regular and decaf. There were over 20 local restaurants with booths set up providing guests with great food this year. We were thrilled to be able to provide a boost of energy before they took the family home!
